11ACOUSTICS / TECHNOLOGY

The sound. The whole system.

Power, control and the materials behind the design.

POWER / CONTROL

Amps.

Every 11acoustics loudspeaker is powered by top-of-the-line Powersoft amplification. We treat the amplifier, DSP and drivers as one system, bringing power and control together inside the loudspeaker.

Integrated amplification means fewer separate components to transport and connect. Powersoft’s software tools support system configuration and monitoring, helping you stay in control from setup to showtime.

ADAPTIVE LOUDSPEAKER CONTROL

IPAL.

Our Waveshaper W221A subwoofer uses Powersoft’s IPAL system — Integrated Powered Adaptive Loudspeaker. It brings the amplifier and low-frequency transducer into a closed feedback loop.

A pressure sensor measures the difference between the air pressure inside and outside the enclosure. The DSP uses that feedback to adjust the drive signal in real time, responding to what the loudspeaker is actually doing.

The result is more precise control of low-frequency behaviour. Powersoft identifies higher sound pressure at a given distortion level and more consistent performance over time as benefits of its Differential Pressure Control technology.

MATERIAL / STRUCTURE

Carbon.

Our line array cabinets are built from carbon fibre. This helps us bring their weight down to almost half that of competing designs, while creating a stiff structure around the acoustic system.

Lower cabinet weight adds up across an array. There is less mass to lift, move and transport, less physical strain during handling, and a lower suspended load for the same number of cabinets.

For touring crews, that makes the journey from truck to stage easier. For installations, it gives the system designer more flexibility within the available structural load capacity.

MATERIAL / FUNCTION

Aluminium.

We use machined, anodised aluminium for grilles, rigging components and the side panels of our line array cabinets.

Machining gives us precise control over the geometry and fit of each part. Anodising creates a protective surface that improves corrosion resistance and gives the components a consistent finish.

Combined with carbon-fibre cabinets, these parts bring low weight, precise construction and a distinctive visual identity to the array.
